One of American Idiot’s biggest fans needs your help. Chloe is 9 years old and has Down Syndrome, and is also a cancer survivor. For her off-treatment chemo anniversary, her parents took her to NYC to see American Idiot. Now, she needs your votes. She is in a contest to win an adaptive bicycle that she really needs for therapeutic purposes, as well as just for fun. You can only vote once but can share endlessly. Entry is under Michelle David and in the contest entry, she is wearing her sock monkey hat. She needs all the help she can get. Okay, so I’ve seen a lot of celebrities and tapings, but almost none have excited me as much as watching Doctor Who film in Central Park. Matt Smith is the most dapper man I’ve ever seen, and Karen is beautiful! They would wave occasionally, and at one point even began taking pictures of us.
The crowds were absolutely crazy, but Matt, Karen, and Arthur all seemed so chill and would occasionally make jokes about how they wished they were shooting something more exciting (I’m not quite sure what Matt and Karen were doing, but Arthur was just walking around).
All in all, they seemed absolutely lovely and I’m so excited I got a chance to see them!

The Broadway in Boston announced their 2012-2013 season with some load-in, prep and “show” footage from the “American Idiot” tour that stopped there this past season.

Detroit is doing Student Rush, 2 hours prior to showtime, $25 for the first two rows. I think I heard Boston is doing the same, but I think its 2.5 hours prior, and $28 a ticket

So, a friend was telling me that she read somewhere that Larkin Bogan was a understudy for one of the main characters? But I can’t find any information that says he is, so I’m wondering if she’s wrong.
Does anyone know?
I just saw it last night in Detroit and my program says he is the understudy for Johnny. I heard somewhere that he may go on as Johnny on Saturday for the Matinee when Van is not on…if I knew that for sure, I might make the trip down to see it again.
